Assistant IT Manager (174211)
The Assistant IT Manager is responsible for managing day to day operation and liaise with Information Technology Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of the Information Technology Department. Assists in establishing hardware maintenance programs and procedures in case of system interruptions. Assists in ensuring security of data storage and protection.
As Assistant IT Manager, we rely on you to:- Ensure that critical application systems to the hotel like Opera PMS, Infrasys POS, Call Accounting System, Check EAM, Messaging System, etc. and including hardware are running.
- To attend users Information Technology related problems both hardware and application systems.
- Ensure that day-to-day standard Information Technology operating procedures (including checklist) are implemented properly including new requirements that need to be implemented and / or adhered.
- Creates, develop new application systems and enhancement to existing systems that will be beneficial to some department day-to-day operations and to the hotel.
- To plan and continue looking for new ways that may improve some Information Technology related areas and provide feedback / recommendations to the Management.
- Practices and role-models the Guiding Principles and the Core Values of Shangri-La Hospitality.
- Be environmental friendly, reduce waste, recycle when possible, and reuse whenever applicable.
- Must be familiar with the CSR initiatives, Policies and Procedures, Guidelines, Rules and Regulations per company CSR, including and not limited to CSR initiatives of the local and national government.
- Ensures compliance and application for all CSR job related decisions and activities, in relation to achieving the hotels CSR goals and objectives.
- 3 years as senior analyst / programmer in a large company
- Degree in Computer Science.
- Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Strong leadership, self-motivated excellent communication skills.
