Network Engineer Specialist

The Network Engineer Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, security, monitoring, and optimization of the company's network infrastructure. The role ensures high availability, performance, and security of all network services, aligned with business requirements and industry best practices.

• Able to gather business requirements and assess requirements for the ideal and recommended Network design and infrastructure.
• Up-to-date with current Networking topologies, technologies, manufacturers, and service providers to determine appropriate network capacity planning and connectivity infrastructure.
• Provide recommendations for Network Hardware specifications for the procurement process.
• Supervise delivery handling, stock‑keeping, delivery note acknowledgement of network equipment upon delivery of the hardware and prior to any installation.
• Directly involved in the evaluation of Networking projects/services and service providers.
• Knowledge of Data Center facilities and hosting requirements for Servers and both Network Active and Passive Components prior and in preparation for any installations.
• Participate in the creation of Installation and Configuration Plans for Network Equipment based on project requirements, approved design and plan, and compliance with best practices and standards.
• Carry out and review the Installation Check List for Network configuration and installations.
• Acceptance testing for the Installation performed.
• Provide guidelines and checklist for Security and Quality Assurance.
• Participate in the Data Center Facilities and Hardware Security processes.
• Involved in the Network Access Security process and Performance Quality Tuning.
• Participate in the Network Hardware, performance, and service enhancements.
• Have involvement in Disaster Recovery processes.
• Involved in Network Administration and Monitoring.
• Generate network performance and security reports.
• Recommend required network hardware and service enhancements.
• Perform network periodic maintenance procedures.
• Document all Network hardware and service‑related information and activities.
• Update documentation on all changes applied, activities carried out.
• Apply and file change management forms, technical documents, event logs, security and performance reports, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with other team members or related teams for knowledge sharing.
• Train co‑team members for knowledge sharing and eventual knowledge transfers, planning, collaboration, and coordination of services.

• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs)
• Experience with routing & switching technologies
• Familiarity with network security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
• Understanding of data center infrastructure and cloud networking
• Experience with monitoring tools (Solar Winds, PRTG, etc.)
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and high availability architectures

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related fields.

Relevant certifications are preferred (CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet, Palo Alto, AWS/Azure networking).

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in network engineering or related roles.
