We are seeking an experienced Database Supervisor to manage and optimize enterprise database environments while ensuring high availability, security, and performance across mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will oversee database administration activities, lead performance optimization initiatives, and support business continuity through effective backup and recovery strategies.
This role is ideal for a highly skilled database professional with strong Oracle expertise, excellent analytical abilities, and a commitment to maintaining reliable, secure, and high-performing database environments.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and maintain enterprise Oracle database environments.
- Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity utilization.
- Configure and manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN environments.
- Perform database installations, upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
- Optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL code, and overall database performance.
- Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Ensure database security, user access management, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to support business applications.
- Prepare technical documentation, database health reports, and operational recommendations.
- Continuously improve database reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Database Administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration in enterprise environments.
- Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and Performance Tuning.
- Oracle Database certifications are highly preferred.
