As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will implement and maintain critical IT infrastructure at your home site, reporting to the IT Manager. You work closely with business teams, colleagues, and remote support teams to deliver day‑to‑day support and meet operational needs. You serve as an escalation point for IT Support Technicians and remote teams on technical issues.
You are building technical depth across networking, systems administration, and infrastructure management. You execute projects with guidance and contribute to operational excellence through hands‑on troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and documentation.
Key Job Responsibilities Technical Operations & Infrastructure- Implement and maintain IT infrastructure across software and hardware environments
- Ensure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours
- Maintain all IT equipment at optimum performance; meet departmental KPIs and SLAs
- Configure and troubleshoot networking fundamentals: routers, switches, wireless APs, structured cabling (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, TCP/IP)
- Liaise with global SME teams for installation and maintenance of networking/server infrastructure per Amazon standards
- Perform site audits to ensure adherence to Amazon IT and Health & Safety guidelines
- Run site-level projects with business, fellow engineers, and remote support teams
- Act as single point of contact for assigned projects; keep stakeholders informed
- Create, review, and execute change management requests and project plans
- Validate and sanity‑check technical execution of projects
- Manage equipment availability through continuous improvement and cost reduction
- Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies
Maintain and create policies, procedures, processes, and documentation
- Provide direction and support to IT Support Technicians on tickets and action items
- Mentor and train technicians; act as technical contact for remote support teams
- Support recruitment of new talent into OpsTechIT (once trained)
- Support customers across multiple buildings and remote sites
- Represent IT in site meetings; act as escalation point for business and support functions
- Manage contractor/supplier relationships; communicate technical issues and Amazon standards
- Purchase equipment per policies, budgets, and operational demand
- Contribute to paid on‑call schedule for high‑severity incidents
- Produce weekly reports covering metrics and work performed

The Operations teams in our Fulfilment Centers are responsible for managing the vast range of fast paced inventory from inbound to outbound and work very hard to ensure that our customers receive what they want, when they want it.

- 1+ years of Windows Server technologies (AD, DFS, Print Services, SCCM)
- 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi‑user, high‑availability environment
- 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation
- 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery
- 2+ years of networking (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP)
- 2+ years of corporate Windows, Mac, or Linux OS support
- 2+ years of supporting a corporate network environment
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 2+ years of computer networking experience
- Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment
