Role
Purpose:
To manage, secure, and optimize the organization’s database environments while providing reliable regional IT support across multiple sites, ensuring high availability, performance, data integrity, and secure access to business-critical systems and applications in alignment with business continuity and operational objectives
Role Accountabilities:- Database Administration: Install, configure, monitor, maintain, and optimize enterprise databases to ensure performance, availability, and reliability.
- Database Performance & Optimization: Perform performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and capacity planning to maintain optimal database performance.
- Backup & Recovery: Manage database backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery processes to ensure data resilience and business continuity.
- Database Security & Access Control: Implement database security controls, user access management, encryption, and audit logging to protect sensitive data.
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Support database clustering, failover, replication, and DR solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Regional IT Support: Provide technical support to regional sites for infrastructure, endpoints, applications, and user issues as required.
- Application & ERP Support: Support business-critical applications and databases including platforms such as SAP S/4
HANA and other enterprise systems. - Server & Infrastructure Support: Assist with server administration, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments supporting database workloads.
- Monitoring & Incident Management: Proactively monitor database health, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology., with Computer Science or Information Technology as major.
- Accredited Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified Windows Server & other relevant technical certifications are mandated.
- 2–5 years experience in database administration and enterprise IT support.
