DBA Administrator – Oracle & MS SQL Server Experience- 10+ Years Location-Jeddah

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands‑on expertise in Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server administration. The candidate will be responsible for database installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, security, monitoring, and production support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle and MS SQL Server databases.
  • Perform database administration activities across development, test, staging, and production environments.
  • Monitor database health, performance, availability, storage, and capacity.
  • Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage backup and recovery strategies and regularly validate backup integrity.
  • Handle database incidents, problems, and service requests in production environments.
  • Configure and maintain Oracle Data Guard, RAC, and other HA/DR solutions where applicable.
  • Manage SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, clustering, replication, and log shipping.
  • Perform database migrations, upgrades, patching, and version upgrades.
  • Manage users, roles, privileges, authentication, and database security.
  • Monitor database jobs, alerts, sessions, locks, blocking, deadlocks, and resource utilization.
  • Develop and maintain database maintenance plans and automation scripts.
  • Support disaster recovery (DR) activities, including DR testing and database restoration.
  • Work closely with application, infrastructure, cloud, and development teams to resolve database‑related issues.
  • Participate in 24x7 production support/on‑call activities when required.
  • Maintain database documentation, SOPs, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.
  • Ensure databases comply with organizational security, availability, and audit requirements.
Oracle DBA – Required Skills
  • Strong hands‑on experience in Oracle Database Administration.
  • Oracle 11g/12c/18c/19c/21c experience.
  • Oracle installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
  • RMAN backup and recovery.
  • Oracle Data Guard and RAC.
  • Performance tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
  • SQL and PL/SQL troubleshooting.
  • Tablespace, schema, user, role, and privilege management.
  • Understanding of Oracle ASM and storage management.
  • Experience with database migration and DR activities.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments.
  • Good understanding of storage, SAN/NAS, networking, and server infrastructure.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as OEM, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Grafana, Splunk, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting/automation using Shell, Power Shell, or Python is an advantage.
  • Experience with cloud databases such as Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, or Azure SQL is an added advantage.
  • ITIL/production support experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
MS SQL Server – Required Skills
  • Strong hands‑on experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
  • SQL Server 2016/2017/2019/2022 experience.
  • Installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
  • Backup and restore, recovery models, and maintenance plans.
  • SQL Server performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Index and statistics management.
  • Always On Availability Groups, clustering, replication, and log shipping.
  • SQL Server Agent, jobs, alerts, and monitoring.
  • Troubleshooting blocking, deadlocks, locks, and performance issues.
  • Security, logins, users, roles, and permissions.
  • Database migration and DR support.
Additional Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments.
  • Good understanding of storage, SAN/NAS, networking, and server infrastructure.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as OEM, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Grafana, Splunk, or similar tools.
