Marketplace Data Analyst

LIVSHO is a live-commerce marketplace bringing collectors, sellers and retailers together across the GCC. Through live shows and auctions, we help people discover collectibles, connect with knowledgeable sellers and build communities around what they love. We are building our full-time team in Jeddah to help more sellers succeed and make the buyer experience better.

You will turn marketplace data into trusted reporting and practical recommendations. Your work will support all six categories, marketing and operations, with the CTO supporting access and technical dependencies. You should enjoy investigating a business question, checking the data behind it and explaining what the team should do next in plain language.

• Build trusted scorecards. Maintain useful views of sales, contribution, sellers, buyers and shows, with consistent definitions and clear refresh routines.
• Analyze seller activation. Find where prospects and approved sellers stall before their first show or repeat activity; work with category managers on the causes.
• Understand buyer behavior. Analyze purchase funnels, cohorts, order frequency and category overlap to identify opportunities for better retention.
• Evaluate show performance. Compare productivity and sell-through while accounting for differences in inventory, sellers and audience.
• Support growth decisions. Assess campaign and experiment results with the growth lead, explaining attribution limits and uncertainty.
• Investigate data quality. Check duplicates, missing events and inconsistent statuses; work with technical colleagues to resolve material issues.
• Make findings usable. Write short analyses that separate facts from hypotheses and connect findings to a decision, owner and follow-up measure.
• Improve self-service. Document metrics and help colleagues use reporting correctly so recurring questions do not depend on one-off analysis.

• Strong SQL and Excel or Google Sheets skills, with evidence of working through real business questions.
• Experience building clear dashboards in a BI tool and validating the data behind them.
• Understanding of funnels, cohorts, segmentation and basic experiment analysis, including the limits of causal claims.
• Ability to prioritize commercially useful questions and explain findings to nontechnical colleagues.
• Clear working English and ability to collaborate with an Arabic-speaking commercial team; full-time on-site availability in Jeddah.

• Experience in a marketplace, consumer app or e-commerce business, including refunds and net-versus-gross metrics.
• Python experience for analysis or automation, and familiarity with event tracking or mobile attribution data.

Reporting accuracy and adoption; consistent metric definitions; useful turnaround on priority questions; and evidence that analysis informs decisions and follow-up.
