The Logistics & Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations including warehousing, transportation, distribution, inventory management, import export activities and overall supply chain performance. This critical leadership role requires a hands on, data driven professional who can improve operational efficiency, enhance supply chain visibility, control costs, strengthen service reliability and drive continuous improvement across logistics and supply chain functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Logistics & Supply Chain Management
Manage end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations across manufacturing, warehousing, suppliers and customers. Plan and oversee inbound and outbound logistics activities. Ensure efficient movement of raw materials, finished goods and inventory throughout the supply chain. Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve performance. Enhance supply chain visibility, responsiveness and operational control.
- Warehouse & Inventory Management
Lead warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and stock control. Improve inventory accuracy and minimize stock discrepancies. Monitor slow moving, obsolete, damaged and excess inventory. Optimize warehouse layout, storage utilization, material handling and inventory processes. Ensure compliance with safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
- Transportation & Distribution
Manage transportation planning, route optimization, shipment scheduling and delivery execution. Improve fleet utilization and third party logistics performance. Monitor and improve on time delivery performance. Investigate and resolve delivery delays, damages, customer complaints and service issues. Ensure transportation activities comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Import, Export & Customs Operations
Oversee import export activities, customs clearance, freight forwarding and shipping documentation. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth customs and logistics processes. Manage shipment tracking and proactively address delays, clearance issues and documentation gaps. Ensure compliance with applicable trade regulations and customs requirements.
- Vendor & Service Provider Management
Manage relationships with logistics providers, freight forwarders, transport companies, customs brokers and warehouse partners. Evaluate vendor performance against service, cost, quality, compliance and operational KPIs. Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives with external partners.
- Cost Control & Process Improvement
Monitor logistics, warehousing, transportation and distribution costs. Identify and implement cost saving opportunities without compromising service quality. Develop SOPs and process controls for logistics, inventory, warehousing and transportation operations. Support digital transformation initiatives including ERP systems, inventory tracking tools, barcode systems and reporting dashboards. Prepare performance reports and dashboards covering logistics KPIs, inventory performance and operational efficiency.
- Leadership & Team Management
Lead logistics, warehouse, transportation, dispatch and supply chain teams. Establish clear KPIs, performance objectives and accountability measures. Build a culture focused on safety, operational excellence, customer service and continuous improvement. Coach, mentor and develop team members to enhance performance and succession readiness. Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, Planning, Sales, Finance, Quality, HSE and senior leadership teams.
Bachelor s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related field.
ExperienceMinimum 10 years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Transportation, Distribution or Industrial Operations. Minimum 5 years of experience leading and managing teams. Strong experience within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, electrical products, construction materials or heavy industry environments. Proven experience managing warehousing, inventory control, transportation, distribution and supply chain operations. Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC markets is preferred. Strong understanding of import/export processes, customs clearance, freight forwarding and logistics compliance.
TechnicalSkills
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles and best practices.
- Expertise in Warehouse Management, Inventory Control, Transportation Planning and Distribution Operations.
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of logistics cost management and operational KPI monitoring.
