Material Resources Planning Assistant

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Experience : 5+ - years

Minimum of two (2) years applicable experience in purchasing. Lab Equipment, Consumables, and Chemicals and Biologicals reagents for the laboratory, and working with the research teams to establish re-order levels, inventory levels, and standing orders.

Experience with business application software and e-Procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Sciquest or similar).

Skills:

A comprehensive understanding of the principles of MRP, preferably within a manufacturing or distribution business environment.

Strong knowledge in Materials Management (MM) module in SAP and in SRM

Ability to analyze data

Process and issue Purchase Order (POs) for warehouse stock and non-stock items

Create material master for warehouse stock items and Research Asset / Equipment in SAP

Obtain quotations by sending requests for quotation to the suppliers

Coordinate with warehouse team members for follow ups and updates

Update daily Chemical Warehouse stock inventory list on portal

Prepare weekly and monthly MRP reports

Assist and respond researchers queries

Order expediting by following up with the vendor, freight forwarder and customs clearance team

Follow up and close PO discrepancy reports

Upload images of stock items on Catalog

Register and activate the stock materials on Sciquest catalog

Monitor stock consumption and deliveries of Dry ice and gas cylinders

Monitor inventory continually and update in SAP MM accordingly.

Experience, skill, ability to learn handling and transporting wide variety of materials like Chemicals, Live animals, temperature controlled shipments, radioactive materials.
