Officer Distribution Planning

Purpose of the job

Facilitate the execution of the weekly category planning by coordinating and communicating with the relevant co-ordinates in the Manufacturing sites, Depots, Logistics/Transportation, Sales and Procurement departments by doing regular follow up on all issues so as to enable a fool‑proof distribution of SADAFCO products as per the approved plans.

This role is crucial for service delivery to enable sales.

• Coordinate the execution of the weekly category planning for distribution with Manufacturing, the Depot Supervisors, Logistics and Transport, Sales and Procurement.
• Implement planning and inventory strategies in line with company and functional objectives and guidelines.
• Implement Supply Chain & Operations strategies and tactics to support commercial requirements, business plans, strategies, and points of competitive differentiation.

• Identify, communicate and follow up on issues raised, deviations and problems in the distribution planning to solve the problems.
• Enhance supply chain responsiveness and agility to better meet customer and consumer needs and work with functional leads to drive network improvements in overall supply chain reliability and responsiveness.

• Coordinate replenishment of stock with Depot Supervisors and communicate the optimum solutions pro-actively.
• Enhance collaboration throughout the supply chain to understand customer needs and translate external customer requirements into our supply chain strategies.

• Administer planning and actual figures and provide actual and reconciled figures to marketing for analysis.
