RWJED - Duty Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates proficiency of job tasks and job knowledge for the position on a daily basis. Refer to list of job tasks and job knowledge in training guide.
• Displays a positive Guest service and teamwork attitude by communicating courteously with guests and employees.
• Smiles at guests and fellow employees.
• Greets guests and fellow employees.
• Fulfills guest requests or suggests alternatives courteously.
• Demonstrates teamwork spirit when working with other employees.
• Adheres to Rosewood's quality standards and productivity guidelines for the position.
• Attends work on time and as scheduled.
• Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees.
• From time to time performs other duties as requested by his supervisor.
• Support and lead the energy conservation program of the hotel.
• Support and lead the green hotel activities.
• Active member of fire intervention team.

• Must familiarize himself with the status of all machinery, equipment and systems at the start of his shift, and with all orders and instructions for operational control.
• Is responsible for the safe, efficient and economical operation of all equipment and installations and for operational repairs and maintenance during his shift.
• Will record readings and other information as directed.
• Will have control of all operational keys, engineering materials and spare parts during his shift.
• Will receive goods and supplies delivered during his shift.
• Ensures that safe, efficient and economical practices are being followed in accordance with the instructions of his superiors.
• Keeps his superiors fully informed on the progress of work and how it affects the operation of the hotel.
• Liaises with other departments to clarify the work required by them and to advise them as to the correct operation of equipment.
• Coordinates technical and other assistance to other trades and departments.
• Coordinates cost estimates for budget and other submissions.
• Familiarize himself for the availability of spare parts and local supplier.
• Reports to his superiors any information which would affect the operation of the hotel or the engineering department.
• Reports to his superiors any suggestions which might result in higher efficiency or lower operating costs for the hotel.
• Carryout the duties of a front-line crew in case of any fire emergency.
• Coordinate with CE/ACE to monitor and control outside contractors to carry out their task in a safe manner.
