Project manager - Facade contracting

Senior leadership role with full accountability for a portfolio of façade projects, overseeing multiple Project Managers and site leadership teams.

Job Purpose

The Projects Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, governance, and performance of the company’s façade project portfolio.

The role ensures consistent delivery excellence, alignment with strategic and financial objectives, and effective coordination across Projects, Factory, Supply Chain, Planning, Cost Control, and Technical functions.

This position acts as the single point of executive accountability for project outcomes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with contractual and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities Portfolio Leadership & Governance

• Provide overall leadership for all façade projects under execution
  .
• Directly manage, mentor, and evaluate Project Managers and site leadership teams
  .
• Establish and enforce standardized project management practices, reporting, and governance frameworks across all projects.
• Review and approve project execution strategies, baselines, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
  .

Execution Oversight & Coordination

• Oversee coordination between engineering, procurement, fabrication, logistics, and site installation
  .
• Ensure strong alignment between factory production planning and site installation requirements.
• Monitor project performance against key KPIs, including:
• Schedule adherence
• Cost and margin performance
• Cash flow and collections
• Quality and HSE compliance
• Proactively intervene in high-risk, delayed, or underperforming projects
  , leading recovery plans where required.

Client, Contractual & Commercial Leadership

• Lead high-level coordination with clients, main contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders
  .
• Support contractual strategy
  , including variations, claims, and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions, in coordination with Commercial and Cost Control teams.
• Ensure commercial risks are identified early and mitigated through structured decision‑making.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

• Ensure lessons learned are captured, documented, and implemented across the project portfolio.
• Enforce compliance with UAAC policies, governance frameworks, approval matrices, and internal controls
  .
• Promote a culture of accountability, performance discipline, and operational excellence
  .

Authority & Decision Rights

• Authority to direct Project Managers and reallocate resources across projects.
• Approval authority over project strategies, sequencing plans, and recovery actions
  .
• Escalation authority directly to the General Manager on critical project, contractual, or financial matters.
• Strong influence over project staffing decisions, subcontractor strategy, and supplier coordination
  .

Required Experience & Background

• 18–25 years of experience in façade contracting.
• Proven experience as Projects Manager, Head of Projects, or Senior Project Director
  .
• Demonstrated track record managing multiple façade projects concurrently
  .
• Extensive experience with high‑rise towers and complex façade systems
  .
• Mandatory experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC façade markets
  .

Technical & Commercial Competencies

• Deep technical knowledge of:
• Curtain wall systems (unitized & stick)
• Skylights and bespoke façade systems
• Strong understanding of façade fabrication, logistics, and installation constraints
  .
• Advanced knowledge of FIDIC-based contracts
  , claims management, and risk mitigation.
• Strong commercial acumen related to project margins, variations, and cash flow management
  .

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management

• PMP or equivalent project management certification is mandatory
