Manager SHE

Job Summary

To ensure compliance with SHE standards across all organization operation sites and functions by developing and supporting SHE strategies, procedures and policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Reports to:

Director (Operation Services) Supervises:
Safety Section Head, Safety Engineer and Safety Staff.

Leading a team of Safety Staff for:

• Conducting Risk and Hazard Assessments
• Developing Safety Policies, Procedures and Protocols
• Ensuring compliance to SHE Standards
• Conducting Regular Safety Audits, Inspections and Meetings
• Developing, Implementing and Supervising Emergency Preparedness Strategies
• Developing and Implementing Safety Training Programs
• Assessing and managing PPE requirements and supplies
• Leading Safety Committee and Promoting Safety Culture
• Maintaining and tracking the Safety Indices for reporting and continuous improvement
• Leading / Supporting the safety incident investigation
• Developing effective Liaison with top management and operation management of respective production units and departments

Communication Boundaries:
Management and Leaders of Respective Production and other Departments/Sections. Safety Staff.

Education and Experience:

Formal education and qualification in Safety, Health and Environment, preferably with Engineering background. At least 10 years’ experience as a Safety Professional in heavy industry, preferably in a steel plant.

• Excellent knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations, standards and policies
• Excellent problem-solving skills with high level of written, verbal and inter-personnel communication abilities
• Pleasant personality with ability to deal with people of different cultural, educational and social background
• Comfortable with Computer working particularly with the Microsoft Office applications
