Senior Commercial Manager

AECOM is recruiting a Senior Commercial Manager in Jeddah to lead commercial management on major infrastructure and development programmes in Saudi Arabia. The holder analyses project developments, scope changes and design modifications to determine entitlement to variations or claims, then prepares and supports claim submissions to the client on evidence based arguments. Commercial risk and opportunity are to be identified, assessed and managed across the project lifecycle.

The financial duties are project reviews to identify financial risk and propose mitigation, review of the cash flow analyses prepared by project teams, and monitoring of cost expenditure against budget. The holder leads the implementation and oversight of earned value management across projects and guides teams on performance measurement.

Margin erosion is to be controlled with the project teams, and working capital improved by reducing work in progress and accounts receivable while monitoring billings and cash collections. The post also carries mentoring, with the advert asking the holder to build commercial awareness and financial discipline across teams while leading a portfolio of projects.
