The Operation Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily operational activities within a specific area, such as transportation, warehouse, or logistics. The role focuses on ensuring efficient workflow, strict adherence to procedures, and the achievement of performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day operations within the assigned area, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of operational staff (e.g., drivers, warehouse workers, logistics coordinators).
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of work.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on operational performance.
- Identify and resolve operational issues and escalate complex problems to management.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensure accurate stock management, and conduct regular stock checks.
- Create and manage schedules for staff, equipment, and deliveries.
- Prepare regular reports on operational activities and performance.
- Maintain effective communication with other departments and external stakeholders.
Experience
Required:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an operational role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Education
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational training or certification in logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
Skills Required:
- Basic understanding of logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
- Familiarity with performance metrics and reporting.
- Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), or other relevant software is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Languages: Arabic and English are essential.
