Job Summary
The Process Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and controlling production processes for ketchup and mayonnaise in accordance with food safety, quality, and production standards. The role ensures smooth manufacturing operations, consistent product quality, and compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities 1. Production Operations- Operate mixing, emulsification, cooking, pasteurization, and filling equipment.
- Prepare raw materials according to approved formulations.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
- Start up, run, and shut down production lines safely and correctly.
- Monitor temperature, pressure, mixing speed, and flow rates during processing.
- Check product consistency, viscosity, pH, and appearance during production.
- Report any deviations from standard specifications.
- Take samples for laboratory testing when required.
- Ensure batches meet quality and customer requirements before filling.
- Perform routine cleaning of mixers, tanks, pipelines, and filling machines (CIP systems as well as manual cleaning of designated parts /areas).
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of equipment.
- Report breakdowns or malfunctions to maintenance.
- Assist maintenance team during repairs or adjustments.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Prevent cross-contamination between raw materials and finished products.
- Record production data in log sheets (batch numbers, times, temperatures, quantities).
- Report daily production output to the supervisor.
- Document any process deviations or incidents.
- Work closely with production supervisor, quality team, and maintenance staff.
- Follow instructions from shift leader.
Assist in training new operators when required
Skills- Basic understanding of food processing equipment.
- Ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to work in shifts (day/night).
