The Lathe Workshop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily machining operations, supervising technicians, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining safe and efficient workshop performance.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of lathe and machining workshop staff.
- Ensure proper operation of lathe machines (conventional & CNC).
- Monitor job quality and ensure compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Inspect finished components before release.
- Maintain records of jobs completed, material usage, and downtime.
- Control and monitor spare parts and consumables inventory.
- Train and guide machinists and workshop technicians.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and workshop regulations.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in machining / lathe workshop.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings and tolerances.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
