Organize the daily and weekly factory’s supply and demand planning tasks based on the review the sales forecast submitted to create and implement a detailed and achievable production schedule whereby the customers are assured of an efficient and uninterrupted flow of quality finished goods.
Key Accountabilities- Liaise with Supply Chain in order to get the updated sales forecast so as to create weekly and monthly production plans, taking into account the factory’s production capacity, capability and constraints with regard to available resources, availability of machines based on planned service schedules and availability of packaging and raw materials (PM/RM).
- Ensure all primary and secondary packaging materials, raw materials and all additional materials (including chemicals and wooden pallets) will be available on time and stored in the designated areas as per the company’s standards.
- Prepare supply plans for third party items.
- Provide continuous daily feedback to ensure scheduling info is kept up to date, including but not limited to start/end times, resources, losses, CIP times, materials sequences, trials, product changes, changeovers, mix/max batch sizes etc.
- Communicate and execute all needed production schedule changes for any unplanned events.
- Ensure MO is created on time and back‑lunch reports are correctly reflecting the actual results.
- Control and maintain the finished goods inventory level within the limits and liaise with the technical projects team for factory shut‑downs and major services.
- Supervise and organize other assigned activities and planning duties (meal demand, solid waste handling, archive, write‑offs, ERP operations, contact with casual suppliers, keep employees legal documents up to date, additional reports etc.).
- Recruit, hire, train and coach store keepers, forklift drivers and workers and assess their performance.
- Follow the good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and good hygiene practices (GHPs) to ensure a clean and safe working environment that complies with company’s health, safety, environmental and food safety standards.
- Escalate the critical situations (out of stock, delivery delays, product defects) as and when the situation arises.
- Participate in daily, weekly and monthly meetings to provide the plant’s performance data and KPIs (output, losses, efficiencies, plan attainment, labor data etc.). Prepare the weekly and monthly report and ensure that the BBPs and KPIs files are filled up to date.
- Follow SADAFCO operating system (SOS) and participate for continuous improvement and lean activities.
- Educational level:
Diploma/ Bachelor Degree in business administration or related field. - Minimum 5 Years of relevant planning experience in the FMCG industry.
- Good MS office knowledge, excellent MS Excel skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi‑task and work under high pressure and tight deadlines.
- ERP knowledge and understanding is a must.
- Excellent planning, scheduling and organizational skills.
- Excellent experience in materials handling.
- Languages:
Very good verbal & written communication skills in English, Arabic is a plus.
