Job Purpose:

• Comply with all safety, health and quality regulations.
• Perform quality control, follow reporting and record-keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor.
• Set up machinery for operation.
• Start machinery and adjust settings to improve performance.
• Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance.
• Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area.
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
• Maintain activity logs.
• Compound or process ingredients or dyes according to formulas.
• Read work orders to determine production specifications or information.
• Observe production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times.
• Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment.
• Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Production.
• 3‑6 years in a similar role in the FMCG industry, preferably in deodorant production.
• Previous proven machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Detail oriented.
• Understanding of production and plant processes.
• Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations in different units of measurement.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Teamplayer – ability to work in a team.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, and stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Willingness to work in shifts.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Ability to use digital apps and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to use SCADA systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Good communication skills.
