Job Purpose:

- Comply with all safety, health and quality regulations.
- Perform quality control, follow reporting and record-keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor.
- Set up machinery for operation.
- Start machinery and adjust settings to improve performance.
- Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions.
- Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance.
- Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area.
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
- Maintain activity logs.
- Compound or process ingredients or dyes according to formulas.
- Read work orders to determine production specifications or information.
- Observe production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times.
- Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment.
- Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.
- Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Production.
- 3‑6 years in a similar role in the FMCG industry, preferably in deodorant production.
- Previous proven machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Detail oriented.
- Understanding of production and plant processes.
- Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations in different units of measurement.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Teamplayer – ability to work in a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, and stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Ability to use digital apps and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to use SCADA systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Good communication skills.
