Production Engineer

Urgently required for AL QIMMA Heavy Equipment Factory, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

• Oversee the production process and draw up a production schedule.
• Ensure production is cost‑effective.
• Make sure products are produced on time and are of good quality.
• Work out human and material resources needed.
• Draft a timescale for the job.
• Estimate costs and set quality standards.
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
• Be responsible for selection and maintenance of equipment.
• Monitor product standards and implement quality‑control programs.
• Liaise among different departments (e.g. suppliers, managers).
• Work with managers to implement company policies and goals.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed.
• Supervise and motivate a team of workers.
• Review worker performance.
• Identify training needs.
• Determine human and material resources required.
• Manage human and material resources to meet production targets.
• Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification, and procurement.
• Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations.
• Possess knowledge of MIG/MAG, SMAW welding processes.
• Maintain welding parameters (current, voltage, gas flow rate) regularly as per PQR.
• Standardise welding machine properties for each section and train labour on machine adjustments to maximise profit and reduce metal deformation.
• Conduct welding inspection and quality control for different structural fabricated parts.
• Handle all QA planning and inspection activities.
• Provide a maintenance schedule table for all production machinery and record each machine’s maintenance history.

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5 to 8 years of production engineering experience.
• Experience in estimating production costs and setting production budgets.
• Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Knowledge of raw materials.
