The Welder will be responsible for joining metal components using various welding techniques such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, shielded metal arc, oxyacetylene and submerged arc welding. The Welder will use safety equipment to protect against the hazards associated with welding operations, while ensuring quality of all welds meets company standards.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, charts or other instructions to determine the specific welding requirements
• Set up welding machines based on the job requirements
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW) or shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
• Monitor the fitting, burning and welding processes to avoid problems and make necessary adjustments
• Repair machinery and other components by cutting out defective parts using hand tools and torch equipment
• Inspect completed work pieces for accuracy in conformity of construction details
• Prepare all necessary materials required for each job task
• Maintain knowledge of current industry changes and advancements in technology related to welding operations

• Proven experience as welder with relevant certifications
• Knowledge of different kinds of metal properties including aluminum alloys, stainless steel and other metals used in manufacturing process
• Ability to read technical drawings accurately
• Working knowledge of safety practices related to welders' activities
• Excellent physical condition with ability to lift heavy objects occasionally
• Attention to detail and accuracy when performing tasks
• Good communication skills
