Responsibilities
- Carry out baking-line activities including mixing portioning baking and other production tasks
- Assist with basic cake decoration including piping drawing and finishing
- Support senior decorators with cake orders when required
- Follow standard recipes decorating guidelines and production processes consistently
- Move between decorating and baking sections based on production volume and operational requirements
- Ensure products are completed accurately and to the required quality and presentation standards
- Maintain consistent baking and decorating techniques across different orders
- Follow food safety hygiene sanitation and workplace safety standards at all times
- Monitor ingredients and materials and flag shortages or production issues to the relevant section lead
- Work collaboratively with the wider production team to ensure orders are completed on time
- Maintain a clean organized and efficient working environment
- 2-4 years of experience in baking, pastry, or a similar production environment.
- Hands-on baking experience, including mixing, portioning, and baking.
- Basic cake decorating skills, including piping and finishing.
- Comfortable moving between decorating and baking tasks based on production requirements.
- Consistent and reliable technique with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to support different areas of production when needed.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow standardized recipes, processes, and quality guidelines consistently.
- Passion for baking and creating high-quality products.
