Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in nursing.
- 7 years of experience in the same Field and 3 years in same position as head nurse .
- Masters or diploma in Management is preferable.
- Dataflow is a must.
- Saudi license holder is a plus.
Job description and responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor endoscopy nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment.
- Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- Oversee daily unit activities, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement quality initiatives, monitoring patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Create and update policies, procedures, and guidelines for the endoscopy unit.
- Coordinate staff education, orientation, and competency assessment.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, sedation management, and emergency protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, other departments, and patients' families.
- Manage unit budget, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, ).
- Conduct staff evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, reporting incidents and near misses.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- Conduct pre procedural assessments and post procedural evaluations.
- Educate patients and families about procedures, risks, and post care instructions.
- Manage daily unit operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies necessary for endoscopy procedures.
- Analyze patient care data and outcomes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Participate in clinical audits and accreditation processes.
- Work closely with gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and unit performance.
- Provide ongoing education and training for nursing staff on endoscopic procedures and best practices.
- Stay current with advances in endoscopy and nursing practices through continuing education.
