The Quality & Food Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all food products are prepared, stored, and served in compliance with company standards, food safety regulations, and quality requirements. The role involves monitoring daily operations, conducting inspections, implementing food safety programs, and ensuring continuous compliance with HACCP, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor daily food production and operational processes to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards. Implement and maintain HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures. Conduct routine inspections of kitchens, storage areas, equipment, and food preparation processes.
- Ensure compliance with local municipality, health authority, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform internal food safety and quality audits and prepare corrective action reports.
- Monitor food receiving, storage, preparation, cooking, holding, and serving temperatures.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation practices are followed by all staA.
- Investigate customer complaints related to food quality and food safety and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct food safety training and awareness sessions for employees.
- Verify that all staA follow personal hygiene and food handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and corrective actions.
- Work closely with Operations, Kitchen, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to improve food safety performance.
- Monitor product quality, shelf life, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
- 4–6 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Food Safety within the food service, restaurant, catering, or food manufacturing industry.
- Experience with HACCP implementation and food safety audits.
- Knowledge of local food safety regulations and municipality requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Assurance, Hospitality, or a related field.
- HACCP Certification.
- Food Safety or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Strong communication and training abilities.
- Ability to conduct audits and prepare reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Leadership and team supervision skills.
