H2O Innovation is seeking a qualified and motivated Laboratory Technician to join the Specialty Chemicals and Services Division at our H2O Laboratory in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work in close coordination with the Madrid laboratory team and will collaborate with the global Research and Scientific Services team, which includes laboratories located in Madrid, Spain;
Manchester, United Kingdom; and San Diego, California, USA.
- Perform autopsies, dissection, and sampling on Ultrafiltration (UF) & microfiltration (MF) modules, as well as nanofiltration (NF) and reverse osmosis (RO) elements.
- Conduct membrane characterization, including analysis of flux and salt rejection data.
- Assess the effectiveness of chemical cleaners in restoring membrane performance through controlled cleaning tests.
- Verify and maintain laboratory equipment while ensuring compliance with the laboratory quality management system.
- Support water sample analysis using established laboratory techniques such as spectrophotometry and titration.
- Collect, process, and analyze laboratory data to assist in the preparation of detailed technical reports.
- Participate in regular meetings with the Madrid team to coordinate laboratory activities and provide progress updates.
- Apply problem solving skills to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair laboratory equipment as required.
- Provide technical and operational support to the broader technical team.
- Work independently while maintaining regular communication and collaboration with colleagues across multiple sites.
- Advanced Technician diploma in Analytical and Quality Control Laboratory or an equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated practical laboratory skills and technical proficiency.
- Experience in material and reagent management.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications and related digital tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of English proficiency (spoken and written).
- Ability to handle and lift laboratory components weighing up to 25 kilograms.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to work.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary, multicultural international team.
- Demonstrates a professional demeanor, with a respectful, cooperative, and positive attitude toward colleagues and clients.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in laboratory operations.
