Senior Category Manager.Frozen & Importation 1

Job Purpose:

To drive the achievement of sales, margin, other income, and total commercial margin targets for the assigned category by defining and executing a customer-focused category strategy that balances financial performance with innovation, differentiation, and high-quality in-store experiences, ensuring sustainable growth and contribution to Panda Retail Company's overall revenue and profitability objectives

• Develop and execute category strategies for Fresh Food to ensure achievement of sales, margin, and profitability targets aligned with company objectives.
• Analyze market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and differentiation within the category.
• Plan and manage assortment, pricing, and promotions to ensure alignment with customer preferences and category financial performance.
• Negotiate and manage supplier agreements and trading terms to ensure optimal cost, margin, and additional income generation for the business.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Space & Range, and Marketing teams to ensure effective implementation of category plans and availability in stores.
• Evaluate category performance using sales, margin, and profitability reports to ensure data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.
• Lead innovation and product development initiatives to ensure introduction of unique, high-quality, and customer-relevant offerings.
• Manage and develop supplier relationships to ensure long-term partnerships that deliver sustainable value and competitive advantage.

Coach and support category and merchandising team members to ensure alignment with strategic goals and build strong category management capability

Bachelor Degree in Business or Engineering

7 years' experience in FMCG environment

• Fluent Arabic & English speaker
• Knowledge of using Microsoft office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of using an e-mail software (Outlook)
• Strong negotiations skills
