ABAP Consultant - BTP

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant – BTP with strong hands‑on experience in ABAP development and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, extending, integrating, and supporting SAP solutions using modern ABAP technologies and BTP services. The consultant should have experience with ABAP on HANA, REST/OData APIs, CDS Views, RAP, SAP Fiori/UI5, and BTP integration/development services
.

Automotive industry experience is preferred
, particularly candidates who have worked with automotive OEMs, distributors, dealerships, or automotive‑related organizations.

• Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP and modern ABAP development practices
  .
• Develop applications and extensions on SAP BTP
  .
• Work with ABAP Cloud / Steampunk and cloud‑compliant development approaches.
• Develop and maintain:
• ABAP Objects
• CDS Views
• RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model)
• OData services
• REST APIs
• BAPIs and RFCs
• User Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancement Framework
• Develop and support SAP Fiori/UI5 applications where required.
• Work with SAP HANA and develop optimized database solutions.
• Design and implement integrations between SAP and external systems using SAP BTP Integration Suite and APIs.
• Support SAP S/4
  
  HANA extensions and custom developments.
• Analyze technical requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.
• Perform code reviews, performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare technical specifications and development documentation.
• Support unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
• Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders.
• Provide technical support during implementation and post‑go‑live activities.
• Follow SAP clean‑core principles and cloud development best practices.

• 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP BTP

• Strong knowledge of ABAP Objects and ABAP development
  .
• Experience with ABAP on HANA
  .
• Experience with CDS Views and AMDP
  .
• Experience with RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model).
• Strong experience developing OData and REST APIs
  .
• Experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA development and extensions.
• Knowledge of SAP BTP Extension Suite
  .
• Experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite is highly preferred.
• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) is a plus.
• Experience with SAP Cloud Connector is a plus.
• Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies.
• Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and technical troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.

• Automotive industry experience is preferred.
• Experience working with automotive OEMs, distributors, dealerships, or automotive service organizations is an advantage.
• Experience developing SAP solutions for automotive business processes is a plus.
• Experience working on SAP BTP/S/4
  
  HANA projects within an automotive environment is highly preferred.
