Overall Role Purpose Courier – Pickup & Delivery (PUD)- Pickup and deliver shipments safely and within the standard time frame. Prior to courier/collection, all shipments must be checked physically to ensure required paperwork is available and shipments are ready to travel in transit / deliver to customer.
- Prepare debrief report at the end of each working day. Complete all required paperwork for all collected shipments.
- Maintain and adhere to all company standard related to personal appearance, vehicle cleanliness and paperwork prepared for customer shipments. Demonstrate professional behaviour and attitude when attending customers.
- Ensure security of shipments, collected cash and company vehicle. Use padlock on vehicles at all times to secure customer shipments and company assets.
- Deliver monthly invoices on time. Act as a messenger between customer and credit controllers in relaying customers’ queries in regards to billing and sell insurance on outbound shipments.
- Ensure target for SPORH / SPR is maintained by individual courier, along with other PUD KPIs.
- Collect and deliver a variety of customer shipments within a given territory and time frame. Provide customers with assistance and accurate information on their shipments and carry goods with appropriate and complete paperwork.
- Ability to communicate in the most effective manner with customer and colleagues in the company. Convey clear and precise information to customers.
- OPERATION
- Establishing a course of action for self and others to accomplish goals. Keep track of progress and ensure follow‑up and flexibility with other given tasks, primarily on pickups and deliveries.
- Ability to communicate verbally and theoretically in the most effective manner. Understand and convey message to others in clear and precise manner.
- Work effectively within the team or outside the formal line of authority to accomplish objectives. Demonstrate understanding of how own role fits within DHL as a whole, support and help others in performing their jobs efficiently. Must be flexible with other given tasks by the Team Leader and Supervisors.
- Think systematically and logically to resolve problems by using different alternatives with care, keeping in mind previous experience or knowledge.
- Meet the connection cut‑off time for outbound material.
- Perform accurate checkpoint scanning for pickup and deliveries to create proper visibility in the network.
- Dealing with aggressive situations, traffic problems, collecting and securing cash collections.
- Dealing with unhappy customers.
- Time pressured due to peak business hours and customer requirements.
- Good in English (written and spoken).
- Good local and international geographical knowledge.
- Scanner usage and its functions.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. - Experience:
at least 2 years working as courier (optional). - Physical Fitness:
Ability to handle and lift packages of varying weights (up to 30 kg) and be physically active for extended periods. - Customer‑Focused: A genuine passion for customer satisfaction and a friendly, approachable personality.
