Export Operations Executive

Job Summary:

Our client, a prominent player in the shipping industry, is seeking an experienced Export Operations Executive to join their team in Jeddah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of export operations to ensure timely and efficient shipment of goods for international clients.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate export activities, including booking cargo space, preparing export documentation, and arranging transportation for outgoing shipments.
• Communicate with customers, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs officials to facilitate smooth export transactions and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export laws, and shipping requirements for each destination country.
• Prepare and review shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales, customer service, and finance, to ensure alignment of export activities with customer requirements and company policies.
• Track and monitor shipment status, providing regular updates to customers and stakeholders on the progress of their orders and anticipated delivery dates.
• Handle export customs clearance procedures, including filing export declarations, obtaining necessary permits and licenses, and ensuring adherence to customs regulations.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to export shipments, such as delays, damages, or incorrect documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of export transactions, documentation, and correspondence in compliance with record-keeping requirements.
• Stay informed about industry trends, changes in export regulations, and developments in international trade practices to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in export operations within the shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding industry.
• Strong knowledge of export documentation, customs procedures, INCO terms, and international shipping regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with export management software.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English and Arabic languages is preferred.
