Customs Clearance Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and follow up on all customs clearance procedures in line with approved regulations
- Prepare, review, and follow up on shipping and customs documents (invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, delivery orders, etc.)
- Request missing or incorrect documents from suppliers when needed
- Issue and follow up on shipment certificates via the SABER platform
- Ensure the validity of product certificates listed in customer invoices
- Coordinate with customs clearance offices and submit complete documentation on time
- Handle customs objections, remarks, and resolve documentation discrepancies or violations
- Submit customs declarations to the Finance Department and follow up on payments
- Prepare periodic shipment status and performance reports
- Manage authorization requirements with shipping lines and related entities
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in customs clearance
- Strong knowledge of Saudi customs systems and platforms, including FASAH
- Solid understanding of import/export regulations and Saudi customs laws
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- High attention to detail, especially in document review
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
