The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efficient management and operation of the company's vehicle fleet by coordinating vehicle scheduling, maintenance, registrations and compliance requirements. The role ensures fleet availability, cost effective utilization, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards while maintaining accurate records and collaborating with drivers, vendors, and internal departments to support smooth transportation operations.
Responsibilities- Maximize fleet availability to support operations.
- Utilize the fleet on the most profitable routes and secure backloads to improve profit.
- Handle drivers efficiently and solve their problems promptly.
- Maintain preventive and required maintenance for the fleet.
- Schedule dispatch of vehicles to pre assigned locations considering transport lead time and SLAs.
- Coordinate driver training such as safety, loading/unloading, and lashing procedures.
- Ensure proof of delivery (POD) is captured and completed.
- Prioritize work tasks to achieve agreed KPI targets.
- Follow up with drivers in case of vehicle damage while under their custody and maintain tracking until damage cases are closed.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly status reports and present them when requested.
- Handle DDR entries, including cost and revenue rates.
- Enforce safety rules, regulations, and QHS requirements.
- Achieve department shared KPI targets.
- Analyze plans vs. arrivals and vehicle allocations efficiently.
- Integrate systems and tools to ensure accurate data entry and sustainability.
- Education:
Technical or associate degree in Automotive or equivalent. - Experience:
Minimum 2 years in automotive transportation field. - Good command of Arabic and English languages.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (speaks clearly).
- Coordination and persuasion skills.
- Problem solving and logical judgment.
- Monitoring and following up on processes.
- Ability to effectively utilize resources and work well in a team.
