Shipping & Logistics Coordinator

Position Purpose

We are seeking a proactive and well‑connected Shipping Logistics Coordinator to support and coordinate inbound shipping, transportation, and logistics activities for industrialization production launch and ongoing supply chain operations within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The role is responsible for coordinating shipments from local and international suppliers, supporting customs and transportation activities, and ensuring materials, tooling, equipment, and production components are delivered efficiently and compliantly to the facility. The position plays a critical role in supporting plant industrialization, supplier readiness, operational continuity, and overall supply chain performance within the Saudi automotive manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate inbound shipments from industrial suppliers, material suppliers, and logistics partners to support plant operations and industrialization activities.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely transportation of tooling, equipment, production materials, and operational supplies.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, transport providers, suppliers, customs brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Support transportation planning and delivery coordination across local and international supply chains.
  • Track shipments and proactively communicate delivery risks, delays, or operational issues.
  • Work closely with suppliers to coordinate shipment readiness, documentation, dispatch timing and delivery requirements.
  • Support industrialization activities including launch shipments, prototype materials, tooling movements, and operational ramp‑up logistics.
  • Assist production, purchasing, warehouse, customs and planning teams with inbound logistics coordination.
  • Support urgent transportation and recovery activities where operational risks arise.
  • Ensure effective communication between suppliers, logistics providers and plant operations regarding customs compliance and regulatory coordination.
  • Support compliance with Saudi shipping, customs, transportation and import/export regulations.
  • Coordinate shipping documentation including invoices, packing lists, certificates and transport documentation.
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders and government authorities where required.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and logistics requirements impacting operations within Saudi Arabia.
  • Ensure logistics activities comply with company procedures and operational standards.
  • Support improvements in transportation efficiency, delivery performance, and shipment visibility.
  • Monitor inbound logistics performance, shipment lead times and operational risks.
  • Assist in reducing logistics disruptions, delays, and premium freight costs.
  • Support implementation of logistics processes and operational improvements.
  • Contribute to development of local logistics and supplier coordination capabilities.
  • Maintain accurate shipment tracking records and logistics documentation.
  • Support ERP shipment tracking and logistics reporting activities.
  • Prepare shipment status updates and operational logistics reports.
  • Escalate shipment delays, customs issues or operational concerns to management promptly.
Qualifications & Experience

Saudi National preferred.

Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field preferred.

Minimum 3-5 years experience within shipping, freight forwarding, transportation, customs or logistics coordination roles.

Strong understanding of Saudi logistics, shipping procedures, customs regulations and transportation networks.

Experience coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, transport providers and customs brokers preferred.

Automotive manufacturing or industrial supply chain experience advantageous.

ERP shipment tracking system and Microsoft Office knowledge preferred.

Arabic and English communication skills required.
