Taxi Services & Direct Response Assistant Manager

Job Purpose:

Support operational oversight of contracted taxi and demand-responsive transport services, with a focus on ensuring fleet readiness, vehicle compliance, and service coverage standards are maintained to deliver safe and equitable mobility for Jeddah passengers.

• Monitor vehicle availability and readiness across contracted taxi and DR operators, ensuring fleets are deployed to meet service coverage requirements and contractual standards
• Track operator adherence to vehicle maintenance schedules, safety inspection requirements, and roadworthiness standards, escalating non-compliance to management
• Analyze fleet utilization data to identify inefficiencies, reduce service downtime, and optimize vehicle allocation across the taxi and DR network
• Support the governance of contract clauses relating to vehicle standards and fleet compliance, contributing to contract reviews and performance enforcement processes
• Coordinate contingency responses to vehicle shortfalls, breakdowns, or unexpected demand surges to ensure continuity of taxi and DR service coverage
• Liaise with operators on operational coordination, minimizing passenger wait times and ensuring consistent service availability across coverage zones
• Collaborate with technology and contract management teams to integrate fleet monitoring systems that enhance real-time visibility of vehicle deployment and operator compliance
• Support the tracking of budget allocations related to fleet operations, flagging variances and contributing to cost-efficiency reviews
• Prepare fleet performance reports for management, highlighting trends, compliance gaps, and operational improvement opportunities across contracted taxi and DR operators
• Assist in embedding sustainability policies into vehicle contract requirements, including emissions standards and vehicle lifecycle limits where applicable
