Role Description The Transportation Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah, responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily transportation activities to ensure timely and compliant movement of cargo. This role includes planning and scheduling transportation routes, monitoring shipment status, and coordinating with internal teams, clients, and external partners such as carriers and government authorities. The Transportation Specialist prepares and reviews transportation documentation, supports customs and regulatory processes, and helps resolve issues that may affect delivery timelines or service quality.

The role also involves analyzing transportation performance, identifying process improvements, and contributing to the development of efficient, cost-effective logistics solutions. Consistent, professional communication and a focus on customer service are key to supporting Fastgate Logistics’ commitment to reliable, high-quality operations.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills and the ability to assess transportation data, identify trends, and propose improvements.
• Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to collaborate with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience in Transportation Planning and Transportation Management, including route optimization and coordination.
• Knowledge of logistics, customs procedures, and regulatory compliance relevant to transportation operations.
• Proficiency in using transportation or logistics management systems and basic office software tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
• Relevant education in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain roles within the region is an advantage.
