About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Inbound Supervisor to lead and oversee the receiving operation of a fast-growing grocery distribution center.
In this role, you will lead a team of Team Leaders and Receiving Officers
, manage the flow of goods from supplier arrival through receiving and putaway handover, and ensure that every receipt is processed accurately, safely, and within the required timeline.
- Plan the daily inbound schedule and allocate manpower based on truck arrivals and inbound volume.
- Supervise unloading, counting, PO receiving in the WMS, and putaway handover.
- Ensure all open receipts are closed on the same day with no end-of-shift backlog.
- Enforce cold chain, FEFO, expiry, and quality control requirements across ambient, chilled, frozen, and fresh products.
- Lead, train, and develop the receiving team while monitoring individual productivity and performance.
- Coordinate with Planning, Commercial, and Suppliers to ensure smooth inbound operations.
- Monitor inbound volumes, productivity, and open receipts.
- Identify recurring operational issues and support process and system improvements.
- Maintain strong floor presence and ensure compliance with warehouse procedures and standards.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business
, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, including 2+ years supervising a receiving/inbound team
.
Experience in Grocery, FMCG, Retail, or Food Distribution
, preferably with multi-temperature handling.
Hands-on experience with WMS
, including receiving, PO/ASN, and putaway.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Solid knowledge of Food Safety, Cold Chain, and Expiry Control
.
Proven people management and strong warehouse floor presence.
English and Arabic
, written and spoken.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and peak seasons
.
