- Maintain with relative independence a significant phase/segment of a clerical process or office activity; make frequent decisions in accordance with agency policies/rules/procedures; maintain calendars/schedules; coordinate meeting logistics; arrange travel and accommodations.
- Types/edits a variety of material, which may contain technical or specialized terminology; compose correspondence including some interpretation/application of established policies and procedures; attend meetings and take notes; transcribe written and verbal communication.
- Supervise/training staff performing clerical and other support tasks; plan work assignments; organize/coordinate workflow; establish priorities and deadlines; review work for accuracy/timeliness/conformance with procedures and processes; mentor/advises staff on work issues; evaluate employees’ performance; recommend or implement disciplinary/corrective action; approve/monitor leave requests; review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain fiscal records requiring limited knowledge of governmental accounting methods in accordance with established procedures; code and record transactions; prepare and/or oversee the processing of personnel and/or payroll records and/or time and leave records; oversee and/or participate in the preparation of standardized reports and complex ad hoc reports; establish and maintain complex filing systems; prepare/oversee the preparation of records for storage and/or archiving;
maintain correspondence and report files; enter, update, retrieve information; develop spreadsheets and databases. - Obtain quotes/bids for commodities, equipment, services; initiate/oversee, within defined limits, the preparation and/or processing of supply requisitions and purchase orders; prepare/oversee the processing of supply requisitions, expense accounts, other program or agency documents; maintain cost and/or inventory records; perform, review, and verify complex computations involving the application of rules and regulations.
- Carry out assigned responsibilities with considerable independence and make decisions concerning work procedures/processes; administrative supervisor reviews significant departures from established policies or procedures; perform other related work as assigned.
- Guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years.
- Shift differential: $2.00 per hour for shift 12:00pm–5:00am at 24/7 congregate care facility.
- Maximum security stipend: $0.75 per hour for full-time work at qualifying facility.
- Restrictive housing stipend: $1.00 per hour for regular post within a restrictive housing/segregation unit.
- Two or more years of experience as an Office Support Assistant with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
- Or three or more years of experience in office support work; possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
- Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience at a rate of 30 credit hours for one year.
