About

The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Inspector to support our growing portfolio of infrastructure projects, particularly water/wastewater. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of hands-on inspection experience in civil engineering construction, with a strong background in municipal utility systems, pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations, while serving as a key liaison between contractors, engineers, and clients. The role is field-focused and will require regular travel to active job sites within the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily on-site inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Monitor contractor performance, construction methods, materials, and workmanship.
• Document progress through detailed reports, including photos, measurements, and test results.
• Lead and mentor junior inspector(s) by reviewing work, offering feedback, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
• Coordinate and oversee field and lab testing of construction materials as required.
• Identify and report non-conforming work and assist in resolving construction issues.
• Verify adherence to safety protocols and enforce OSHA standards on-site.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, design engineers, and client representatives.
• Attend project meetings and assist in reviewing contractor submittals, RFI responses, and change orders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant construction inspection experience, preferably in water/wastewater or heavy civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, industry standards, and local codes.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (current).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Construction Materials Testing (CMT) certification (e.g., ACI, NICET, or equivalent).

Compensation

• This position offers a salary range of $65, annually, along with comprehensive health benefits, PTO, and holiday pay.
• The listed salary range reflects the potential compensation for this role. Starting pay will be based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
