Responsibilities

  • Camera Operation:
    Operate cameras effectively and efficiently to capture high-quality footage during fast-paced football live productions. Ensure shots are framed accurately and in accordance with production guidelines.
  • Equipment Setup and Teardown:
    Assist in the setup and dismantling of media production equipment before and after sporting events. This includes cameras, tripods, cables, and any additional equipment necessary for the production.
  • Show Control Software Operation:
    Familiarize yourself with the Show Control software used during sporting events in the Gymnasium. Operate the software proficiently to manage graphics, replays, and other media elements to enhance the viewer experience.
  • Team

    Collaboration:

    Collaborate closely with other members of the media production team, including directors, operators, and technical staff. Communicate effectively to ensure seamless coordination during live events.
  • Troubleshooting:
    Be proactive in identifying and resolving technical issues that may arise during live productions. Quickly troubleshoot and address any equipment malfunctions to minimize disruptions.
  • Flexibility:
    Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic live production environment. Be ready to handle last-minute changes or adjustments to ensure a smooth production flow.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    Participate in regular maintenance and care of media production equipment to keep it in optimal working condition. Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Willingness to Learn:
    Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques related to media production. Stay open to feedback from colleagues and supervisors, using it as a means to continually improve.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Enrolled at Jefferson City High School or Capital City High School, or
  • At least 16 years of age
  • Basic understanding of operating a computer and camera (On-Job training will be provided)
  • Ability to work Friday evenings at either CCHS or JCHS for football games as well as weekday evenings for other sporting events
  • Lift and carry up to 30 lbs up and down stairs
