Assistant Professor of Accounting/Finance
Lincoln University School of Business is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to teach accounting, finance, and business-related undergraduate and graduate courses in person, online, and hybrid modalities. This is a full-time, 9-month position anticipated to begin Spring 2026 and continue into the 2026/2027 academic year. The contracted teaching load is 12 hours per semester, with opportunities for overloads and summer courses.
Full-time faculty are expected to advise students, participate in faculty and campus committees, attend faculty assembly and division meetings, and conduct program/class assessments in accordance with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), university policies, strategic plan, rules and regulations, and the standard criteria set forth by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
- Teach Accounting, Finance, and related business courses at undergraduate and graduate levels in classroom and online modalities.
- Engage in research in accordance with tenured faculty requirements.
- Advise students academically.
- Prepare course syllabi that meet student needs and accreditation requirements.
- Develop assessments and evaluate courses and the program for continuous improvement.
- Maintain professional development as appropriate to the role.
- Assist in program recruitment by participating in university recruitment events and communicating with prospective students.
- Assist with ACBSP reporting.

- Ideal Candidate:
Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent terminal degree(s), or ABD with planned completion by Spring 2026 from a regionally accredited university. - CPA certification desired.
- Acceptable Candidate:
Master’s degree in accounting with CPA certification.
- Demonstrated record of outstanding teaching effectiveness.
- Strong record of scholarly activity.
- Related industry or consulting experience.
- Professional certifications: CPA, CMA, or CIA
- Light sedentary office work.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Salary: $49,000 - $61,000 per year.
