Teen Highway Safety Program Coordinator (System Management Specialist)
Job Location: Jefferson City, Missouri
Role Overview: The System Management Specialist performs routine entry‑level activities in parks road management, traffic management, bridge management, roadside management, highway safety program administration, construction management, and environmental support. Responsibilities are performed under direct supervision. MoDOT offers an entry‑level or senior‑level path based on skills and experience, with opportunities for career advancement without a competitive interview process.
Responsibilities- Prepares highway safety education grant applications and contracts; notifies grant recipients; monitors projects for compliance.
- Assists in the coordination of various highway safety programs and events; supports coalitions.
- Coordinates and evaluates community outreach events to promote highway safety, especially among schools and community groups.
- Reviews traffic crash statistics to identify problems and assess potential counter‑measures.
- Assists with the development of business reports; coordinates budget transfers, revisions, or adjustments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- OR four years of experience in accounting, auditing, business analysis, highway safety program administration, or relevant operational positions.
