Credit Analyst

Responsibilities- Preparation of various loan system reports, including those submitted to the Board of Directors on a monthly basis.
- Preparation of technical exception reports, non-conforming loan reports, etc., for the benefit of loan officers and the Board of Directors.
- Completion of financial analysis reviews assigned and loan proposals, ensuring timely responses to recommendations and resolution or implementation of the same.
- Entering financial statement tracking information into the tracking system and the CASH software; including spreading all financial statements when received.
- Monitoring credit files to ensure adequacy of documentation and timeliness of financial statements; generating letters on a timely basis requesting current financial statements from customers.
- Reviewing all downgraded loans to ensure proper real‑estate valuations; ordering re‑evaluations as necessary.
- Reviewing and updating loan documentation as required by loan policies and bank regulations; monitoring regulatory changes that affect documentation and compliance.
- Assisting with the appraisal process, including ordering appraisals, reviewing appraisals, and maintaining communication between the bank and vendors.
- Performing various compliance‑related audits and projects as assigned; attending training sessions on commercial loan regulations and training other personnel on regulatory changes.
- Examining files systematically for adequacy of credit or deficiencies and reporting results to the supervisor, other officers or management as requested.
- Assisting external and internal auditors in their reviews.
- Providing support to commercial lending staff and officers as needed.
- Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business, including specific courses in accounting and finance.
- One year of bank audit experience and knowledge of bank credit review, audit, and/or compliance procedures and policies.
- Strong computer software skills, particularly in word processing and spreadsheet programs such as Word and Excel.
- Good verbal communication skills, demonstrated by face‑to‑face and telephone interactions with examiners, consultants, auditors, customers, and co‑workers.
- Demonstrated ability to use tact, diplomacy, and a professional appearance when dealing with examiners, consultants, auditors, customers, and co‑workers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong customer service and relationship skills.

- Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Good written communication skills.

This position is eligible for a $500 referral bonus.
