- Coordinate with permit tees, the Missouri Geological Survey team, the Water Protection Program engineering team, legal counsel and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all Clean Water law and regulations.
- Review all comments on draft permits, update drafts as needed, and respond to comments. Present information and respond to questions from the public at meetings for permits that attract wide‑spread public interest.
- Provide compliance assistance and rule interpretation for permit tees, potential permit tees, neighbors and other interested parties.
Draft permits, issue public notices, review input, and issue Missouri State Operating Permits for industrial stormwater and wastewater discharges, including landfills, quarries, and airports. Permits and fact sheets may exceed 30 pages.

- Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific field (additional education or experience may substitute for the required education).
