Why you’ll love this position

The person in this position will work with a dedicated team of investigators, while gaining new and valuable skills. This is a mostly independent position, responsible for protecting the Missouri Medicaid program from fraud, waste, and abuse.

What you’ll do
  • Answer the MMAC fraud hotline, monitor MMAC’s report fraud email account, and document referrals in MMAC’s case management database.
  • Conduct timely investigations related to the legitimacy of Medicaid billings by providers and pre‑enrollment investigations to determine if providers have met all enrollment requirements.
  • Conduct site‑visits of various providers and provider types, as requested.
  • Conduct reviews of provider records, conduct interviews with providers/recipients, gather and preserve evidence, and write detailed and accurate investigative reports.
  • Testify in federal or state court or at administrative hearings, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, 2 or more years of relevant experience, and relevant certification/licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a law enforcement officer with responsibility for conducting investigations.
  • Close attention to detail, an aptitude for data analysis, and good verbal and written communication skills.
