Overview
Join the Missouri Department of Corrections as the Corrections Case Manager ACC. A position in the Missouri Department of Corrections is more than a job—it’s a calling. Responsibilities- Serve on a classification team; evaluate the offender’s institutional adjustment, attitude toward society, and release plans, and prepare recommendations relative to ORAS, case planning assignments, facility transfers, and disciplinary actions.
- Secure and verify information from incarcerated adult offenders concerning their home life, family relationships, work history, and other pertinent personal and social factors; develop, maintain, and review classification files.
- Assess classification status and prepare analysis for program eligibility determinations using the Adult Internal Classification System (AICS), Reclassification Analysis (RCA), and Initial Classification Analysis (ICA) instruments.
- Act as grievance officer; process and respond to Informal Resolution Requests (IRRs); hold disciplinary hearings on conduct violations; participate in treatment team meetings.
- Process offenders: complete initial file review, protective custody assessment, enter enemy waivers, and update enemy lists.
- Maintain an open‑door office policy; handle offender’s laundry, property, financial concerns, mail and censorship notices; notify offenders of critical illness or death of immediate family members.
- Participate/assist in assigned offenders’ vocational, educational, and social adjustment planning; facilitate offender programs; evaluate civilian visiting applications listen, and determine whether to approve or deny the individual’s request to visit with the offender; provide pre‑release counseling; research and identify community resources prior to processing offenders for release.
- Cooperate with public/private agencies and law enforcement agencies; arrange/facilitate calls to attorneys, public agencies, and law enforcement agencies.
- Perform work in accordance with established rules and regulations; receive close administrative direction and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Four or more years of experience as a Probation & Parole Assistant, Correctional Officer, or Office Support Assistant Lubric or above within the Missouri Department of Corrections, OR
- Four or more years of vocational or paraprofessional experience in social services, probation and parole, corrections casework/custody, law enforcement, guidance/counseling, mental health, health, substance use, public/business administration, or experience closely related to the listed responsibilities.
- The earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for required experience at a rate of 30 credit hours per year.
- Guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years.
Shift differential: $2.00 per hour for shifts beginning between 12:00 pm and 5:00 am at a 24/7 congregate care facility. ساعد - Maximum security stipend: $0.75 per hour if you work full‑time at a qualifying facility.
