Why You’ll Love This PositionThe Office of Administration's Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Now Developer to join our Portal Development Team. This role plays a key part in our ITSM implementation and the ongoing evolution of citizen‑facing digital services. We are seeking an individual who excels in a collaborative, agile environment and is eager to develop scalable, user‑centered solutions utilizing the Service Now platform.

- Design, develop, and maintain Service Now applications, modules, and workflows to support ITSM and other enterprise service delivery needs.
- Promote platform adoption by mentoring peers, sharing best practices, and helping establish a Service Now Center of Excellence to scale knowledge and innovation across teams.
- Develop and maintain detailed specifications for projects built within Service Now.
- Provide day-to-day general support, administration, and maintenance of applications and workflows built in Service Now.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Service Now functionality, integrations, and performance.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards.
- Proven ability to design, configure, and customize Service Now applications and workflows.
- Experience with Service Now Studio, App Engine, and Scoped Applications.
- Hands‑on Service Now development experience, particularly in ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management.
- Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
- Experience with programming languages such as HTML, CSS, PHP, and Java script.
- Ability and willingness to learn new things in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable with assisting other developers and providing training and support.
- Front‑facing UX/UI development experience preferred.
- Passion for strategic planning and process improvement.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
- Successful background check results required for employment in this position.
- Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite of employment. The Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
- The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

Classification DetailsThis position is multi‑allocated and may be filled at either the Associate Applications Developer or Applications Developer classification.
