The Office of Administration's Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Now Developer to join our Portal Development Team. This role plays a key part in our ITSM implementation and the ongoing evolution of citizen‑facing digital services. We are seeking an individual who excels in a collaborative, agile environment and is eager to develop scalable, user‑centered solutions utilizing the Service Now platform.

If you are passionate about modernizing government services and enjoy solving complex problems as part of a team that values innovation and continuous improvement, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Service Now applications, modules, and workflows to support ITSM and other enterprise service delivery needs.
  • Promote platform adoption by mentoring peers, sharing best practices, and helping establish a Service Now Center of Excellence to scale knowledge and innovation across teams.
  • Develop and maintain detailed specifications for projects built within Service Now.
  • Provide day-to-day general support, administration, and maintenance of applications and workflows built in Service Now.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Service Now functionality, integrations, and performance.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards.
Qualifications
  • Proven ability to design, configure, and customize Service Now applications and workflows.
  • Experience with Service Now Studio, App Engine, and Scoped Applications.
  • Hands‑on Service Now development experience, particularly in ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management.
  • Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience with programming languages such as HTML, CSS, PHP, and Java script.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new things in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Comfortable with assisting other developers and providing training and support.
  • Front‑facing UX/UI development experience preferred.
  • Passion for strategic planning and process improvement.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Successful background check results required for employment in this position.
Eligibility and Requirements
  • Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite of employment. The Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
  • The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
  • Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
EEO Statement

Lack of post‑secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
