Bilingual:
Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering/Material Co-op at Jefferson City, Missouri Plant
, starting October 2025 and ending June 2026. This co‑op offers hands‑on experience in manufacturing process optimization, material management, and continuous improvement.
- Support new product launches by setting up machine, process, and material configurations for Fast Track launch.
- Assist the production team with assembly, brazing, wiring, and process streamlining.
- Collaborate with lean operations, engineering, and lean team to lead identified process improvement projects.
- Analyze materials, validate SAP stock, and ensure clear-to-build for ramp‑in production.
- Provide on‑off shift engineering support and train operators during ramp‑ups.
- Validate material deliveries, provide visibility when items are missed, and minimize excess materials during build wrap‑up.
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies, including layout of production lines and material handling systems.
- Maintain SOPs for manufacturing processes.
- Learn welding robot programming and assist operations with adjustments.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in cross‑functional continuous improvement initiatives and support lean manufacturing principles.
- Conduct root cause analysis and propose corrective actions.
- Support implementation of new equipment, technologies, and automation systems.
- Prepare project reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and progress.
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data.
- Prior experience (1‑2 years) in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and software (e.g., advanced Excel).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies is preferred.
- Solid understanding of process improvement concepts, including process mapping, value stream analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and creative thinking.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
