The Department of Labor is seeking a qualified applicant to join our Research & Analysis Unit as an Associate Research/Data Analyst (a full-time, temporary, and hourly position). In this role, you will be part of a small yet effective team that excels in data collection and customer communication, among other key skills. This role is a great way to learn more about Missouri and our partnership with the Bureau of Labor Statistics, how we collect valid occupational data, and how this data is used to educate Missouri Citizens.
WhatYou Will Do
- Collect, organize and analyze data for BLS OSHS statistical purposes.
- Understand and disseminate statistical information for the SOII program.
- Keep up to date on current coding procedures, technical requirements, user and program guides for OSHS programs.
- Consult with Missouri citizens to identify survey needs and specific requirements to complete the surveys and update data profiles.
- Conduct surveys and collect data for SOII and evaluate survey progress and performance.
- Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, address complaints, and provide assistance.
- 2 years of relevant experience (Substitutions may be allowed)
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to review documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to complete assignments within specified time frames.
- Ability to develop and implement procedures from general instructions.
