This position will be located at 1730 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, Missouri with the Environmental Remediation Program, Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration Section. You will be an integral member of the department’s Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration (NRDAR) team and will collaborate with co-trustees to restore natural resources injured by uncontrolled releases of oil or hazardous substances. You will communicate and coordinate with a diverse set of stakeholders to restore Missouri’s resources through the NRDAR process.

The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed salary range listed above.
- Conduct natural resource injury determination and damage assessments in accordance with CERCLA, other federal and state laws, regulations, and accepted scientific methods.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to select, implement, and monitor restoration projects.
- Communicate with stakeholders that may include citizens, state and federal partners, responsible parties, non-governmental agencies, attorneys, and others.
- Prepare and review technical documents.
- Equivalent To Those Typically Gained By
• Bachelor’s degree and 0-4 years of relevant experience. Preferred degree programs include Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Physical Science, Natural Resource Management or a closely related field. (Additional education or experience may substitute for the required education or experience) - Experience implementing ecosystem restoration projects
