ADB is seeking a Foreman to join our wireline team and provide proficient‑level manual laborer and equipment operations. This position will lead the installation of fiber optic cable for various telecommunication projects. • Provides proficient‑level manual labor and operations including hand digging with a shovel, setting up traffic control, entry level equipment operations, placing fiber, loading materials, operating equipment, leading crews, etc. on various safety‑sensitive utility construction sites
• Proficient with utility print and map reading
• Has performed at least 1 year of independent operating of various equipment (directional drill, mini, plow, hydro, etc.); fully trained in all safety regulations of operating heavy equipment
• Supports and leads the setup and shut down of utility construction projects including traffic control in various conditions including highways, side streets, parking lots, downtown locations, etc.
• Safety is the expectation, always leads and follows the required safety practices while performing safety‑sensitive duties
• Has professionalism to communicate directly with customers, subcontractors, homeowners, etc. and address any complaints/issues that may arise
• Trains other construction crew members on fiber installation practices, print reading, equipment operations, OSHA requirements, etc.
• Loads and unloads materials and equipment in from vehicles at construction yards and jobsites
• Leads by example, ensures safety rules/regulations are followed, and can lead others on jobsites
• Performs OTJ training with Senior Foreman and/or Supervisors to grow skills in the utility construction trade
• Leads the culture of identifying hazards by utilizing the pre‑task process
• Performs other position duties when requested
