Heavy Truck Mechanic

Capital Equipment is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our shop in Jefferson City, MO.

• Perform maintenance on Dump Truck, End Dump Truck, Pneumatic Truck, Low Boy/Heavy Haul Truck, Asphalt Cement Truck.

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of trucks.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance.
• Perform safety checks.
• Assist senior mechanics.
• Change brakes and tires.
• Trouble shoot and repair engine and transmission issues.
• Estimate time and material costs on equipment repairs and request new parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must have your own tools.
• Field tech experience.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools is a plus.
• Must be able to work Saturdays, on occasion.
• Obtain a valid driver’s license.
• Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
• Must pass a pre‑employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
